  A person was shot in Anaheim late Wednesday afternoon, police said.
  The shooting occurred around 4:15 p.m. on the 2800 block of West Ball Road. Both directions of Ball between Beach Boulevard and Dale Avenue were temporarily closed for the investigation, Anaheim Police Sgt. Jon McClintock said.
  Details on the victim, their condition and the circumstances of the shooting were not immediately released.

  Authorities said Wednesday that the crash on the northbound 101 Freeway in Studio City that killed a Los Angeles Fire Department recruit was not believed to have been a criminal hit-and-run.
