    The Los Angeles Dodgers‘ Thursday night win over the Chicago Cubs has ignited a retail frenzy as hard-core fans scramble to snap up Dodgers clothing and memorabilia.
    The buying spree was clearly on display Friday as fans pawed through a table of Dodgers T-shirts and sweatshirts at Dick’s Sporting Goods in Pasadena. Many were emblazoned with the message, “Fly the Pennant: L.A. National League Champions 2017.”

    California gained a healthy 52,200 jobs in September as unemployment held steady at 5.1 percent, state employment officials reported.

    STANTON — A 59-year-old male pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver Thursday night, Oct. 19, according to authorities.
    The incident was reported around 8:05 p.m. at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Katella Avenue, said Orange County Sheriff’s Department Lt. John Roche.
